Website and hosting migration

Move your website to CybTX hosting through a clear process: review its requirements, agree on the scope, transfer the data, test the site and coordinate the domain switch.

Request a migration assessment

The price and estimated timeline are confirmed after assessment. Work begins once the quote is approved and the agreed payment and requirements are complete.

What is website migration?

Website migration is a technical service that helps you move an existing website from your current hosting provider to CybTX. The agreed work covers transferring website files and databases, adjusting essential connection settings, and testing the site on the new hosting environment before directing visitors to it.

This service is for customers who already have a website and want to change hosting providers. WordPress sites and other applications, including Laravel and Node.js, are assessed for compatibility with the selected hosting environment before migration is accepted.

What does the service include?

Pre-migration assessment

Review the website type, data size, runtime requirements and available access, and identify suitable hosting.

A backup before work begins

Back up the data included in the migration, subject to available access and the agreed method.

File and database transfer

Transfer the data listed in the quote and adjust file paths and database connections where needed.

Operational checks

Check key pages, login, forms and the functions agreed for testing before switching the site over.

DNS coordination and HTTPS checks

Coordinate the domain connection to the new hosting and verify the SSL certificate and HTTPS connection within the agreed scope.

Migration follow-up

Review the website after the switch and address issues related to the migration work within the scope and follow-up period stated in the quote.

Details confirmed in your quote

  • Website count and size: The quote defines the number of websites and databases and the volume of data to be transferred. Additional sites are not automatically included.
  • New hosting: Hosting fees are separate from migration fees unless the quote explicitly includes them. Compatible hosting must be ready before the transfer begins.
  • Email: Mailbox and message transfers are assessed and agreed separately. Tell us if your email should remain with the current provider.
  • Domain registration: Pointing a domain to the new website is different from transferring its registration to another registrar. A registration transfer requires a separate request and process.
  • Website development and repairs: Redesigns, new features, pre-existing faults and malware cleanup require a separate assessment and quote where needed.

What should you prepare?

  • Your website URL, current hosting provider and control panel, such as cPanel or Plesk, if known.
  • The website or application type and required runtime versions, plus the number of sites and approximate file and database sizes.
  • Whether you already have CybTX hosting or need to choose a new plan.
  • Your email arrangements, who manages the domain and DNS, and any external services connected to the website.
  • Your preferred migration time, busy periods and important functions such as orders, bookings or payments.

Access credentials

You do not need to send passwords with the initial assessment request. After the work is approved, the team will explain the required permissions and how to share access. Use temporary credentials or dedicated permissions where possible, and revoke or change them after migration is complete.

How to request and purchase the service

01 · Request an assessment

Select “Request a migration assessment” to open the contact page. Explain that you want to move your website to CybTX. Existing customers can also submit a support ticket after signing in.

02 · Provide your website details

Share the information listed above and specify what you want to transfer. If you do not know the size or technical requirements, tell the team so they can help establish them.

03 · Review and approve the quote

After assessment, review the included websites and data, required hosting, price and currency, any taxes or extra fees, expected timeline, switch time and follow-up. Ask for clarification before approving any unclear item.

04 · Complete your account and payment

Use your existing account or create an account if needed to complete the order. Once the quote is approved and an invoice is issued, review its items and pay using an available payment method according to its instructions. Keep your order and invoice references and check that payment is confirmed.

05 · Schedule the migration

Once payment is confirmed and access and hosting requirements are complete, the team coordinates a migration time with you. The backup is prepared, then the data is transferred and the website is tested before the switch.

06 · Review and accept the completed work

Review the key functions with the team, then coordinate the DNS update and checks after the switch. Look for confirmation that migration is complete, and report migration-related issues within the agreed follow-up period.

A paid invoice confirms payment. Service completion is confirmed after the migration is performed and the website has been checked.

Planning for website continuity

  • The migration is scheduled to reduce disruption as much as possible. A temporary interruption may be necessary; there is no single duration that applies to every site.
  • For stores and sites that continuously receive data, agree on how new orders and updates will be handled during migration. A temporary pause in writes or an additional data sync may be needed.
  • Keep the old hosting active until data, website operation, any included email and the new routing have been verified. Coordinate cancellation after those checks.
  • DNS changes may become visible to different visitors at different times. Only change email and other service records according to the agreed plan.

Frequently asked questions

How much does migration cost?

The price is determined after assessing the number of websites, data size, application type and migration complexity. Check the final quote and invoice; buying hosting does not automatically make migration free.

How long will it take?

The timeline depends on data size, access speed, compatibility and required testing. An estimate is provided after assessment, and the execution time is coordinated with you.

Do I have to transfer my domain registration?

Your domain can remain registered with your current provider while DNS connects it to the new hosting. A registration transfer is a separate service if you want it.

Is email included?

Email is included only when explicitly listed in the quote after assessment. Confirm the accounts, message sizes and access method before approving the work.

What if my application is incompatible?

Compatibility issues are reviewed before migration is approved. The team will explain whether a different hosting plan or separate application changes are needed, and the scope is agreed based on that assessment.
